Daniel D. Bayston
Daniel D. Bayston, CFA, Outside Director of the LCS Board of Directors. Before his retirement in 2021, he spent over 38 years as a corporate finance and business valuation professional assisting publicly traded and privately held corporate clients on various shareholder and strategic financial issues. These assignments included merger and acquisition analyses, fairness opinions, shareholder liquidity analyses, private equity and debt placements, venture capital projects, reviews of capital structure and dividend policy and corporate valuation matters. Mr. Bayston has extensive experience in the ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) field, having worked with business owners, senior managements, and ESOP trustees on structuring ESOPs as an ownership transition solution. He is also a corporate governance expert and currently sits on the board of directors of four 100% ESOP-owned companies. Previously, he has served on the board of directors of five other ESOP-owned companies.
Mr. Bayston has a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Northwestern University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, Private Directors Association (founding member), The Economic Club of Chicago, the ESOP Association, the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) and the Family Firm Institute (FFI).
