Over the years Lachman Consultant Services, Inc. has participated in and donated to volunteer-based and charitable organizations as part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) program. Our overarching value is in our ability to assist our clients as they help their patients, but equally as important is using our skillsets and our reach to help those in the communities we live in and work in directly.
During a recent team meeting, our team stuffed 45 backpacks with a variety of school supplies to donate to elementary school age children in need via the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless (MCCH) in the greater Bethesda, Maryland area. As much of what we do on a day-to-day basis is rooted in strong educational backgrounds, we feel it is of priority importance to help support a child’s best chance at making the most of their education.
MCCH runs a donation drive before each school year to encourage the local communities to help support their numerous residences in need, and Lachman Consultants was very happy to be a part of it. We look forward to helping support MCCH drives and programs in the future.
About the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless:
Since 1990, Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless (MCCH) has provided solutions to end homelessness in Montgomery County. What initially began with three paid staff operating a loose network of emergency shelters and soup kitchens has grown to over 150 employees operating ten programs that serve approximately 1,600 men, women, and children each year.
MCCH provides four solutions to ensuring that homelessness is a rare, brief and nonrecurring experience:
- Emergency shelter to meet the needs of men and women currently experiencing homelessness;
- Permanent supportive housing to help formerly homeless families and single adults remain stably housed;
- Advocating for systemic change to create efficient and effective means of responding to homelessness in our community;
- Expanding the supply of affordable housing with our affiliate agency, Coalition Homes, to ensure that everyone in Montgomery County has a safe, stable and affordable place to call home.
