Just like the new season of Slow Horses premiering in September on Apple TV, it appears that September is also starting out to be a “slow” approvals action month at OGD.
With this being midway through the last month of FY 2026, thus far through September 15th, OGD posted only 17 full approval actions and 5 tentative approval actions. This portends to be perhaps one of those “bad” months that OGD’s Office Director noted would happen occasionally. Last September was also one of those low months too; as a matter of fact, it had the lowest number of full approvals last FY. (What is it about the month of September? Readers, send us your thoughts!)
We can always hope that the second half of the month improves and the approval pen kicks into gear! We likely won’t see the official approval numbers for the full FY 2026 until sometime in November. Hopefully, that will be a real Thanksgiving Turkey treat!
