Once again, here we are, at the end of the year,
Unprecedented changes we may even fear.
So much disruption at the FDA,
Five CDER Directors in one year, seems like one per day.
Institutional knowledge leaving through the revolving door
Makes my brain spin and feel very sore.
Will the new folks in charge be able to right the ship,
Or will further erosion continue to slip?
As we face the changes, one thing is for sure:
There are still more changes we’ll have to endure.
But all is not lost, this we know,
As we continue our work in rain, sleet, or snow.
Delivering new cures, devices, and drugs for all we hail.
We take our work seriously, and will never fail.
Keeping patients in mind, there is no hocus pocus.
Our goal is clear, for all of us, our focus.
So, take a well-deserved break at this time of year
To reflect on your efforts with some good cheer.
You’ve done it again, despite all in your way,
Developed a product that improved someone’s day.
Be strong in your efforts and don’t dismay.
Keep on the right path and do not stray.
For it is you who has done something great.
Take heart in knowing you may’ve saved someone’s fate!
So merry or happy, whichever your day may be,
We wish a day filled with both joy and glee.
May your family be watching and be by your side
Into the New Year to share in your pride.
